Programs and Professional Development

IMC NCR's goals, common to most professional organizations, are to help its members:

"Get Smart" through professional development programs and resources

"Get Friends" through membership and member services, and

"Get Business" through marketing and business development activities

We provide these through an expanding set of activities and services:

Monthly Chapter Programs

On the second Thursday of every month (except August), IMC NCR conducts an evening professional development program that includes discussion, dinner, a speaker, and networking. The purpose of these programs is to expand the network of consultants, colleagues, and clients who attend the programs. Speaker topics address issues of concern to consultants in running their business, marketing their skills, or delivering consulting services.

Tonight's session on Facilitation was absolutely the best monthly IMC meeting I've attended. The two speakers were very experienced and knowledgeable in their field.

Professional Development Workshops and Resources

Some topics of interest require more time or interaction than an evening program with a speaker can provide. IMC NCR conducts Saturday workshops, about four times per year, on topics requested by members or of emerging interest to business executives and managers. In addition to these workshops, members and guests can attend IMC NCR special seminars and IMC USA national conferences.

Web Resources for Consultants

IMC NCR members are creating an increasingly valuable repository of business and technical resources available to fellow members. These resources, many of which will soon be available on the Members Only area of this website, are intended to leverage the skills and experience of members, to provide better client service, and grow their businesses.
