Founded in 1968, the Institute of Management Consultants USA, Inc. (IMC USA) is the national professional association representing management consultants and awarding the CMC (Certified Management Consultant) certification mark. The IMC USA Mission is to promote excellence and ethics in management consulting through certification, education, and professional resources.

 

IMC USA and its 24 U.S. chapters seek to enhance the recognition, respect, and acceptability of the profession of management consulting as providing a valuable and indispensable service to public, private, and institutional organizations throughout the United States and those international organizations doing business within the United States.

  • Establish professional and ethical standards for management consultants.

  • Admit into membership and certify professionals who meet the IMC established standards.

  • Provide continuing education for the development of management consultants.

  • Increase public awareness of the profession of management consulting.

The 100 members of the Washington, DC Chapter (IMC NCR), serving the needs of professional management consultants in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, is one of the largest and fastest growing of the IMC USA chapters.
